Product Overview

The BTM7710G is a fully protected integrated H-bridge motor driver from Infineon TrilithIC product line. Optimized for automotive auxiliary power systems and industrial DC motion control, this monolithic chip integrates a double high-side vertical power FET and two independent low-side power FETs in one package. It can be configured as a complete H-bridge or two separate half-bridges to realize bidirectional brushed DC motor control. The device supports direct connection with 5V microcontrollers via logic-level input pins. Multiple protection functions are integrated on-chip, including thermal shutdown, short-circuit protection, overvoltage clamp and undervoltage lockout, with corresponding diagnostic signal output pins. Packaged in thermally enhanced PG-DSO-28 SMD housing, it reduces peripheral component count and provides robust resistance to reverse battery voltage and inductive back-EMF impact.

Core Advantages

Fully Integrated Smart H-Bridge Architecture

Integrates power stage and control logic inside one SMD package, cuts peripheral device quantity and simplifies PCB layout routing work.

Comprehensive On-Chip Protection Subsystems

Built-in protection logic for over-temperature, current limiting, short-circuit lock and undervoltage lockout, preventing chip damage under abnormal load operation.

Real-Time Diagnostic Status Alerts

Dedicated fault indicator pins feed thermal and overcurrent state signals back to main MCU, supporting automatic safety loop judgment for high-reliability equipment.

Low Standby Current and Optimized Power Efficiency

Ultra-low sleep quiescent current minimizes battery power consumption when the motor system stays standby for long periods.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: Is your listed stock inventory of the BTM7710G motor driver 100% genuine and original?

A: Yes, all stocked BTM7710G TrilithIC chips are brand-new original Infineon parts. Products are stored in ESD-safe packaging and dry cabinets following standard moisture sensitivity management rules.

Q2: What exact design purpose does the dynamic current limitation capability inside the BTM7710G resolve?

A: On-chip current sensing circuits monitor real-time load current. When motor stall or mechanical block triggers sharp current surge, internal hardware limits peak output to 15A minimum threshold to protect PCB traces and motor windings from burnout.

Q3: Can the BTM7710G driver chip handle high-frequency Pulse-Width Modulation (PWM) speed configurations?

A: This chip targets low & medium frequency PWM scenarios with recommended operating range 1kHz~5kHz. For high-frequency driving demands, please refer to our high-frequency H-bridge driver product range.

Q4: How can our design team request full pin assignment diagrams, internal schematic models, or obtain bulk price discount brackets?

A: Fill out the Quick Inquiry form on this page and submit your project parameters. Our application engineering team will send complete technical documents and bulk quotation within 24 hours.
