Product Overview

The IMX335LQN‑C is Sony STARVIS™ 1/2.8‑inch 5.14MP back‑illuminated CMOS image sensor. It delivers excellent low‑light sensitivity and DOL‑HDR high dynamic‑range performance, supporting up to 60fps 10‑bit 5MP output via MIPI CSI‑2 2/4‑lane interface. Housed in compact 72‑pin CSP‑LGA SMD package. This is commercial‑grade device, not AEC‑Q100 automotive qualified; suitable for consumer dashcams but prohibited for vehicle safety‑critical systems.

Core Advantages

STARVIS™ Back‑Illuminated Pixel

Superior low‑light & near‑infrared sensitivity compared with front‑side illuminated CMOS sensors.

DOL‑HDR High Dynamic Range

Digital overlap HDR preserves details under strong backlight and high‑contrast scenes.

5.14MP High‑Speed Output

2592 × 1944 resolution; up to 60fps(10‑bit) for surveillance and fast‑moving object capture.

Flexible MIPI Interface

2‑lane /4‑lane configurable MIPI CSI‑2, optimized power consumption for miniature camera modules.

Flexible Readout & Gain Adjustment

Supports all‑pixel scan, binning, window cropping; analog gain 0‑30dB with 0.3dB fine step for image tuning.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: What is the resolution and optical format of the IMX335LQN‑C?

A: 5.14‑megapixel (2592 × 1944 active pixels), 1/2.8‑inch optical format, 2.0 µm pixel size.

Q2: Does IMX335LQN‑C adopt STARVIS technology?

A: Yes. Sony STARVIS™ back‑illuminated sensor, improves visible and NIR sensitivity for superior low‑light imaging.

Q3: What interface does IMX335LQN‑C support?

A: Configurable 2‑lane / 4‑lane MIPI CSI‑2 for data output; I²C bus for register configuration.

Q4: What is the difference between IMX335LQN‑C and IMX335LQN‑G?

A: IMX335LQN‑C: RGB‑Bayer with IR‑cut filter for standard color imaging. IMX335LQN‑G: clear‑filter for infrared application. Same pinout, optical filter differs, not direct drop‑in replacement.

Q5: Is IMX335LQN‑C AEC‑Q100 automotive qualified?

A: No, commercial grade. Fit for consumer dashcam, not allowed for vehicle safety‑critical systems.

Q6: What are alternative sensors for IMX335LQN‑C?

A: IMX335LQN‑G (clear filter variant); IMX327‑LQN is 2MP STARVIS alternative. None are pin‑to‑pin compatible, hardware redesign is required.

Q7: Why do some platforms list BGA‑88 as package?

A: Bare chip IMX335LQN‑C is 72‑pin CSP‑LGA. BGA‑88 belongs to finished camera module, not the raw sensor chip.

Q8: How to get datasheet, pinout or volume quotation?

A: Submit Quick Inquiry form for official datasheets, CAD footprint, stock check and bulk‑order pricing.
