The VS1063A-L is a compact single-chip audio codec IC from VLSI Solution, built around low-power VSP4 DSP core. It supports multi-format audio decoding (MP3, AAC, WMA, Ogg Vorbis, FLAC, WAV/PCM) and real-time encoding for MP3, Ogg Vorbis, G.711 and PCM. Equipped with integrated stereo DAC, ADC, headphone driver and mic preamplifier, the chip communicates with host MCU via SPI bus.
