The JMD330-LGAA1D is JMicron’s single-chip SATA Gen1 to PATA/IDE storage bridge IC. It uses pure hardware logic to translate SATA host signals for legacy IDE HDDs, SSDs and ATAPI optical drives, with plug-and-play operation without extra drivers. Supporting full PIO/DMA/Ultra DMA 133 modes, it integrates an 8KB bidirectional FIFO buffer and stable SATA PHY. Packaged in compact TQFP-64 with low-power design, this commercial-grade chip serves legacy storage upgrades, external optical drive enclosures and industrial embedded interface conversion.
