The JMS561U-QGHA2A is a single-chip bridge IC developed by JMicron, connecting USB 3.0 (USB 3.1 Gen 1) host to two SATA III 6Gbps storage ports. It targets dual-bay hard drive docks, external RAID enclosures and lightweight NAS devices. This chip integrates hardware RAID engine supporting RAID 0 striping, RAID 1 mirroring and JBOD, without consuming host CPU resources. It also carries an independent offline clone engine: users can complete full disk copy by pressing external button without host connection. Compliant with BOT mass storage and UASP protocols, it improves transmission speed and reduces access latency.
