The MLX90640ESF-BAB-000-TU is a compact infrared array thermal imaging sensor manufactured by Melexis with a 32×24 pixel IR detector matrix encapsulated inside standard TO-39 housing. Integrated internal signal amplifier and high-precision ADC enable calibrated temperature data output via I2C digital interface for easy connection with MCU. The BAB version features narrow field of view for long-distance concentrated temperature detection, realizing non-contact regional thermal image acquisition without mechanical scanning components. With stable measurement performance and wide operating temperature range, it is widely used in precision equipment temperature inspection, remote target thermal monitoring, industrial pipeline temperature detection and intelligent IoT thermal measurement systems.
