Product Overview

VPC3+C is a PROFIBUS DP slave ASIC by Profichip (Yaskawa), pin and software compatible with Siemens SPC3 for direct PCB replacement. It fully hardware-implements DP-V0 cyclic data, DP-V1 acyclic parameter access and DP-V2 synchronous communication protocols. The integrated 4KB dual-port SRAM acts as low-latency data buffer between RS-485 transceivers and host MCUs. All frame encoding, decoding and error correction run on-chip up to 12Mbps, cutting real-time computation load of external microcontrollers. Packaged in compact 44-PQFP (10×10mm), it serves factory automation, servo drives and distributed IO equipment.
